Aronamin Fruit Truck

In celebrating the 50th anniversary of Aronamin, Ildong Pharmaceutical launched a nationwide healing campaign in 2013 as a show of gratitude for the love and support from its customers.

The campaign was conceived out of the recognition of the fact that, due to busy schedules or for financial reasons, an increasing number of us were resorting to instant or processed foods for sustenance and not getting all the vitamins and nutrients we need. Since Aronamin is classified as a drug, however, the campaign donates boxes of fruit instead.

The campaign began with delivering boxes of apples to low-income households in Seoul and then made its way to other major cities like Daejeon, Gwangju, and Busan.

The campaign is completely funded using proceeds from the sales of Aronamin C+ and is especially meaningful since it represents Ildong Pharmaceutical serving public interests in partnership with its customers. What’s more, the campaign also includes a separate website where members of the public can leave comments and have apples donated in their name.

Ildong Pharmaceutical also partnered up with indie bands and musicians such as Epitone Project, Casker, Zitten, and Lucia to produce a commemorative album for Aronamin’s 50th anniversary and released it online. Epitone Project’s You Can Lean on Me, which is one of the tracks on the album, even ended up as the background music in Aronamin’s 50th anniversary TV commercial.

Through this novel attempt, Ildong Pharmaceutical was able to help people heal, indie bands and musicians gain exposure, and share in new and interesting ways. To this day, all proceeds from the sale of the commemorative album are donated towards good causes.
